"God working through our faith"

A great example of how God works in our lives today can be seen in the example of the faith of Moses' mother in Exodus chapter 2. At a time when the Egyptian government commanded that all the male children of the Hebrew people be killed, Moses' mother chose to obey God and have faith in God (Hebrews 11:23). As the Egyptian government came in to kill the child Moses, his mother set him along the Nile river in bulrushes.

It is possible that Moses could have died but, there was also a possibility that he could live. The chance that Moses' mother took and because of her faith, God providentially had it work out that the daughter of Pharaoh was at the Nile river to take up Moses and saved his life.

Notice that nothing miraculous took place here, however God worked out this situation in favor of Moses and Moses' mother. It can be said that she had faith the size of a muster seed, what does that mean? A muster seed is the size of a dot, however when it is planted and becomes full grown, it grows to between 10-12 feet tall.

When we look at the trouble we sometimes face in our lives and it seems like there is no way out, can we say that we have the faith that Moses' mother possessed? A faith so strong, even though it seems as though all will fail, we have the faith that God can make a way out of what seems to be no way?

He can, God is able! And when He works in our favor within our lives, He will do so by the same non-miraculous means that He used to save Moses and bless Moses' mother to have a wage just for taking care of her very own child! Exodus 2:1-10.

We must have faith! Even faith the size of a muster seed.
